A message from Dr. Kruszewski:

On March 16, 2020, in response to the stay-at-home order and recommendations from the U.S. Center for Disease Control, I temporarily discontinued all in-person therapy sessions. At that time, CSRR made the full pivot to Telemental Health (TMH), solely using videoconferencing to conduct therapy.

At CSRR, our goal continues to be providing the highest quality care to our clients. This has been a major shift for both our clinicians and our clients. I am thankful for the flexibility and dedication both have displayed. For new clients, I want to welcome you to CSRR. I have listed some frequently asked questions we have received about TMH. If your question is not addressed below, please contact us directly.

Frequently asked questions about TMH:

1. How do I inquire about services?

Send a message through our website or leave a voicemail message at 619-836-0046.

2. What happens after I send a message about services?
You will receive an email to schedule a brief intake phone call. We utilize Virtru, a double-end encrypted platform, for all clinical emails. Virtru requires that the user click on a blue button upon receipt to de-encrypt the message.

3. What is required before the first session?
Using HIPAA-compliant DocuSign, all new clients complete consent forms which explain rights, responsibilities, limitations, and processes of TMH.

If you do not feel comfortable or have any questions about the consent forms, let us know and we will address these prior to the first session.

4. How are videoconferencing sessions conducted?
We use Google Meet to conduct videoconferencing sessions. This is a HIPAA-compliant, encrypted platform. Each session has a unique meeting ID. The client must ask to join every session, ensuring privacy and security.

5. What do I need to engage in videoconferencing sessions?
a. A computer, tablet, or phone with video and audio capability
b. Wifi capability
c. A private setting in your home or work space
d. An email address, at which you will receive a link for all scheduled sessions.

6. Do you offer assistance using Google Meet?
If you would like to test out the system in advance of the first appointment, we can easily arrange for that. We also provide clients with written information about logging on.

7. Do you conduct TMH with every client?
As always, our goal is to provide every client with the most appropriate therapeutic intervention. Sometimes therapy cannot safely or effectively occur via videoconferencing. Your clinician will discuss the risks and benefits of TMH with every client at the start of therapy. We also encourage clients to proactively discuss any concerns they may have with us.
